FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many players do you need for Salt & Burn?

Salt & Burn comes with six player tokens and you'll need at least two people to play

Is Salt & Burn appropriate for kids?

Salt & Burn is a family friendly game, but it is not meant for young children. This game includes small parts and should be kept away from children who may put things in their mouths.

Salt & Burn's themes include death, violence, and the supernatural. This game may not be appropriate for children who have difficulty distinguishing between fantasy and reality.

I mixed the booster pack and expansion pack cards into the main deck, but now I want to play just the base game. What do I do?

You can use this hand card list to sort your cards back into separate decks.

How do I keep track of my HP during the game?

During play-testing we found that the easiest way to keep track of your HP and Monster HP during battle is to just use a bit of scratch paper. Some players like to use a d20 die (not included) and flip it to represent their current HP. If you supported our Kickstarter, you can keep track of HP using the acrylic heart-shaped counters that were included as a backer reward.

Is Salt & Burn based on Supernatural?

Salt & Burn is a paranormal genre game inspired by some of my favorite books, tv shows, and movies in the paranormal and sci-fi genres. The game includes many nods, references and jokes to shows like Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but it is not based on any specific source material.  All of the game lore, monsters, and characters are original content.
